Warum ist Zahngesundheit so wichtig?

Wie erkenne ich Zahnprobleme bei meinem Tier?
Häufig leider nur sehr schwierig. Hunde und Katzen verbergen Schmerzen instinktiv und wirken nach außen gesund. Deshalb ist es wichtig, aufmerksam zu sein. Gewöhnen Sie Ihr Tier früh daran, dass Sie die Maulhöhle ansehen und die Zähne putzen dürfen. Zusätzlich empfehlen wir, einmal pro Jahr eine Kontrolle bei uns durchführen zu lassen. Typische Anzeichen von Zahn- und Maulproblemen sind abgebrochene oder verfärbte Zähne, lockere oder fehlende Zähne, einseitiges Kauen, einseitiger oder starker Zahnstein, gerötetes Zahnfleisch, Beläge auf den Zähnen, Schwellungen im Maul sowie unangenehmer Maulgeruch.
Warum muss eine Zahnbehandlung in Narkose erfolgen?
Um Zähne und Maulhöhle gründlich zu untersuchen, benötigen wir intraorale Röntgenbilder und freien Zugang zu allen Bereichen. Das ist nur möglich, wenn Dein Tier schläft. Auch eine professionelle Zahnreinigung mit Behandlung des Zahnfleischs lässt sich nur so sicher und schonend durchführen. Wir setzen dafür auf moderne Anästhesiemethoden. Sie sorgen dafür, dass Dein Tier während der Behandlung keine Schmerzen hat und sich im Anschluss schnell wieder erholt.
Ist eine Narkose gefährlich für mein Tier?
Eine Narkose wirkt oft beunruhigend, ist in der Tiermedizin aber Routine. Wir arbeiten mit modernen und schonenden Verfahren, damit Dein Tier schmerzfrei und stressarm behandelt werden kann. Während der gesamten Narkose überwachen wir alle wichtigen Funktionen sorgfältig. So kann sich Dein Tier schnell und sicher erholen.
